How to access your Headway account on web, MT4 and MT5
Logging In via the Web Client Area
Go to Headway’s official website and select “Login.” Enter the email address and password you used to register. If you signed up through JFRebate, use the same credentials you created during registration — your rebate tracking is linked automatically to your trading account, not your login method.
Logging In via MT4 / MT5
Open MetaTrader 4 or 5, select “File → Login to Trade Account,” then enter your MT4/MT5 account number, password, and Headway’s server name (found in your welcome email or the client portal). Double-check you’re selecting the correct server — using the wrong server is the most common reason traders can’t connect.
Common Login Issues & Fixes
- ✔ Forgot password: use the “Forgot Password” link on the login page to reset via email
- ✔ Wrong server in MT4/MT5: re-check the server name in your account welcome email
- ✔ Account not verified: complete KYC verification in the client portal before trading is enabled
- ✔ Repeated failed attempts: some platforms temporarily lock login after multiple failures — wait a few minutes before retrying
Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication
Once you’re logged into the web client area, it’s worth enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) if Headway offers it for your account. This adds a one-time code requirement on top of your password, so a leaked or guessed password alone isn’t enough for someone else to access your account or request a withdrawal. Given that your Headway account is connected to real funds, treating login security the same way you would a bank account is a reasonable baseline.
Logging In From a New Device
Logging in from a new phone, browser, or location may trigger an extra verification step (such as an email confirmation code) as an anti-fraud measure. This is normal and expected — don’t panic if you’re prompted for additional verification after switching devices. Just make sure you have access to the email address on file, since that’s typically where the confirmation is sent.
What to Do If You Can’t Access Your Email
If you’ve lost access to the email address linked to your Headway account, standard password reset flows won’t work. In that case, you’ll need to contact Headway’s support directly with proof of identity to update your account email before you can regain access. This is another reason to keep your registered email address current and secure — it’s effectively the master key to your trading account.
Mobile App Login
If you trade from your phone, both MT4 and MT5 mobile apps support the same login credentials as desktop — your account number, password, and Headway’s server name. Download the official MetaTrader app from your device’s app store (never a third-party link), and double check you’re connecting to the correct server, since mobile apps often default to a generic server list that doesn’t include your broker until you search for it by name.
Keeping Your Account Secure Long-Term
Beyond the initial login, good account hygiene matters over time: use a unique password you don’t reuse elsewhere, update it periodically, and never share your login details even with people claiming to offer “signal” or “management” services. Legitimate account management, if you choose to use it, is handled through your broker’s official copy-trading or PAMM systems — not by handing over your raw login credentials to a third party.
